Phil Goss (D) seeks to replicate the congressional election success of two of his former Wabash College classmates – former U.S. Reps. Luke Messer (R) and Todd Rokita (R) – as an open seat CD 03 candidate, the first credible Democrat to indicate an intent to seek the post. Goss, a vice president at Perła Brewery in Fort Wayne, taps John Stephens (D) as his campaign manager. Stephens, you may recall, briefly floated a bid for the seat in the 2022 cycle, but did not go to the gate. Goss is a former U.S. Department of State employee who served as vice-consul at the U.S. Consulate in Poland early in the century and taught English abroad.
