Southwest Allen County Schools (SACS) decides not to enter into a formal agreement with the YMCA for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. Despite discussions on a potential partnership to address staffing concerns related to SACS’ transition to a three-tier start and stop times model, the two parties have concluded that they will not be entering into a memorandum of understanding. SACS will continue to explore alternative options and strategies to expand its Friendship Company program, which provides before and after-school childcare, in the future.
