The 2023 state construction season will see the replacement or resurfacing of more than 1,800 miles of pavement . . . rehabilitation or replacement of 659 bridges . . . 168 projects to improve traffic flow/safety . . . and chip-sealing of almost 1,600 miles of pavement – which, when combined with preventative maintenance activities, add up to 1,192 planned projects with an investment of more than $2.5 billion.
