Feeding the Economy, a report released by the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (run by former Indiana State Department of agriculture chief Ted McKinney), concludes that Indiana’s food and agriculture industries and their suppliers contribute more than $193.4 billion to the national economy, and are responsible for more than 946,000 jobs, $52.2 billion in wages, $17.7 billion in taxes, and $2 billion in international exports.
