Full House Resorts, Inc. releases second quarter results for its Rising Star Casino • Resort. Q2 revenues were $11.8 million, an 11.5% increase from $10.6 million in the second quarter of 2021. The company attributes the increase to the sale of “free play,” which resulted in $2.1 million of revenue and income in the second quarter of 2022. Rising Star also sold its free play credits for $2.1 million during 2021, although not until the third quarter. Excluding the free play sale, segment revenues declined in the second quarter of 2022, as management indicates Rising Star benefited from customers receiving government stimulus payments in the prior-year period. Adjusted Segment EBITDA was $3.9 million in Q2 2022, up by 46.1% from the prior-year period. The free play sale, as well as a $100,000 reduction in normal operating expenses, helped offset a decline in total casino revenue.
