South Bend Community Schools is collaborating with city leaders to provide students in the surrounding area with better internet access. The plan is to create a private Long Term Evolution (LTE) service owned by the school district to give consistent access to children who have connectivity issues in their homes. Three cell towers are to be constructed throughout the city to test the project, and more are intended to be built in the future. Currently, the project is facing microchip supply chain issues.
